About Me
I knew early on that my passion was screenwriting. I attended New York University and earned a BFA in Film & Television. While attending school, I worked for TriStar Pictures in the literary department as well as for film producer Scott Rudin. In 2000 I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment.
When I arrived in Los Angeles, I landed an assistant job for a company called Rocket Science Laboratories. They were producing a ground-breaking reality television show called Temptation Island. I stayed with Rocket Science for several years moving up from an executive assistant to an associate producer before moving on to other companies to further my television career. I worked on numerous reality shows including Surprise Wedding I & II, Married By America, Paradise Hotel and two seasons of The Swan.
Working on reality shows was a blast, but eventually I decided to move back to New York. What I took away from my reality television career was a wealth of hilarious stories about doing anything and everything to make the show work. Reel Sharpe was the first book in my “Reel” series followed by Reel Hollywood and Reel Sexy. The novels allowed me the perfect outlet to share my stories and secrets from an insider’s perspective while still keeping the content light and entertaining. Yet screenwriting has always been my go-to medium for writing. Throughout the years I have written five original screenplays, all centered around the romantic-comedy genre. In addition I specialize in writer-for-hire work focused on romantic comedies as well as kids adventure films.
